Mark Your Calendar: 2025-2026 New Student Registration

Mark your calendars! Online registration for new students in the 2025-2026 school year officially opens March 10, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. This is your chance to give your child the gift of French Immersion education by securing a spot at École Montrose.

Kindergarten will be open to children born in 2020. Click to read Preschool information. 

While registration cannot be completed until March 10th, you can start preparing to make the process smooth and stress-free.

Registration Steps: Prepare Now for a Seamless Experience

Step 1: Fill Online Registration Form

• February 24 – March 9: Fill out your child’s online registration form. All registration information is available at https://www.gppsd.ab.ca/registration.

• On page 2 of the 'New Student Registration' form, select Program Option 'French Immersion Programming'.

• Remember to mark any other preferred Programs of Choice. Explore your options at École Montrose Programs of Choice.

Step 2: Submit Registration

• March 10 at 8:30 am: Log back into your SchoolEngage Account and click ‘submit’ to finalize your child’s registration.

• Grade 5 Late Entry: This program is for students who want a French Immersion education and are entering Grade 5. No French experience is required. 

• The Academy: Drive your child's education by tapping into their passion for sports. We offer both Athletics and Hockey skills programming.

• Music Grades 5-8: This program provides students with the opportunity to be part of an inclusive and vibrant community where each student is supported through quality programming for students with a greater interest in music.

Busing Eligibility

• Check to see if your child is eligible for free busing by entering their address into BusPlanner
• Under BusPlanner's 'Program' box, choose 'French Immersion'
